BarcelonaMy name is Luthien, and this is my website. I thought I would take the time to introduce myself for those who may be interested.
I am a corset maker, and the work I will present for you here will mainly be corsetry. I do sometimes make other things too, but corsetry is my absolute passion.
I do not make custom corsets, or take on commisions. Sometimes I sell samples, but this is’t a job for me. This is my hobby. I am extremely passionate about corsetry and about sharing my artwork with others.
At the moment I am a full time student. I’m studying for my BA Viking Studies at UCL (something which I have incorporated into my work through my work based on Nordic Goddesses.)
My ultimate goals are to make a living from my corsetry, and to move to Norway. Perhaps I will be able to open a boutique there one day selling my work to people in person.
At the moment I create corsetry as a hobby. It’s something I have been studying and producing for over a decade now and as I have progressed as a maker I have come to see what I do as an art form. I hope this is evident in my work.
I enjoy experimenting with corsetry, and regularly try out new techniques and materials. I also enjoy writing about my experiments and their results. I write for the corsetry magazine foundations revealed, and I have had articles published by other corsetry blogs and magazines.
