Leather Corset Biography
In this week's episode, new Storybrooke lovebirds Hook and Emma embark on their very first official date. As previously mentioned in the last episode, Emma's track record with men has been, shall we say, less than ideal. However, Hook assures her that he is ready to begin a relationship with the Savior, and just like Beyonce - is a survivor!

But what does a pirate do when he suddenly realizes that having a hook for a hand may not be ideal when trying to woo that special lady? In the latest episode, Hook decides to make a deal with Rumpelstiltskin - keeping his secret about switching the daggers, in exchange for the use of his old hand.

Inspired by this couple's first date, here are some dating do's and don'ts for any Saviors or one-handed pirates!

No pillaging and plundering on the first date.

Emma interrupts Hook in his riveting game of darts to officially ask him out on a date. Hook accepts, however given his long-lifespan (really though, how old is he?), he would like to plan the evening. Emma is hesitant at first, saying that she does not pillage and plunder on the first date, to which Hook coolly states, "Well, that's because you haven't been out with me yet." No Hook, that is not a good call. Stick with the relatively safe and less-dangerous options when planning a first date ie: dinner and a movie, sharing a milkshake at Granny's.  Maybe leave the swashbuckling and whiskey-drinking contests for the third or fourth outing.

It's okay to ask for a hand...but not if it's preserved in a glass jar.

Hook visits Rumple at his pawn shop ready to make a deal. In exchange for his silence over Rumple's dagger-switching, Hook wants his old hand returned from the very "crocodile" which cut it off. First of all, isn't is just a tad creepy that Rumple kept it all this time? What's next? Preserved severed heads a la the Governor from The Walking Dead? Rumple warns Hook that by attaching his former hand, consequences can arise. The old hand belonged to the old Hook, and in turn, could bring back some of his old pirate ways. Hook dismisses the warning as a trick from The Dark One, and the hand is magically returned.

While on the date with Emma, what begins as a scene from Lady and the Tramp (again, nice reference Disney), this lovely bella notte turns into a scene from Idle Hands. Upon an accidental spill on Emma's dress by the Knave, Hook's hand grabs a hold of the lovable thief and demands him to apologize. As the night continues on to the duo's romantic goodnight kiss, Hook's hand passionately has a mind of it's own. While walking home Hook yet again runs into the Knave, who is drunkenly breaking into the library. Hook punches him in the face - just like a pirate looking for a good brawl. Hook quickly realizes that Rumple was right, and that attaching the hand was a bad idea.

Don't mess with your girlfriend's dad, especially if he's Prince Charming.

Forget the shotgun! If your pops is none other than Prince Charming - he's got some serious sword-fighting in store if anyone messes with his daughter! When Hook arrives to pick up Emma for their date, it is revealed that he has both hands, which we know he plans on using both to hold Emma should the date go well. Charming is very protective of his daughter, especially since he was unable to be present for most of her life, and was unable to do normal father-daughter stuff - like teach her how to sword fight or take her to her first ball. Before Charming can give Hook (aka Captain Hand) his "overprotective dad speech," the couple is out the door, leaving him to worry about his daughter and her boyfriend with two hands.

Later in the evening, in a cute Snow White/Charming moment, the parents wait up for Emma's return home. While Snow wants to hear all about the romance, Charming is in full dad mode, and doesn't want to know all the details of how well the date went. Perhaps living with her parents, a newborn, and a human ice maker is reason enough to move out on her own.

Dress up for the occasion.

Finally! Hook got rid of his traditional and possibly never-washed pirate garb, and traded it in for a new look! Granted the look was a tad Sons of Anarchy (easy on the leather, matey), it still was a refreshing change. And how about the Savior in a dress? We have only seen Emma ditch her usual jacket, long hair, jeans, and boots outfit only a couple of times, and she sure does look pretty! Although Elsa is confused by the a-line dress and thinks it's a corset, Emma has the ability to put on a dress, sweep up her lenghty locks and put some gloss on. Way to step up your girl-game, Emma. Props to you!

What our your thought's on this week's episode? Should Hook and Emma go on another date? What about Rumple's plans for the magical Sorcerer's Hat? Will there be an army of dancing brooms in Storybrooke soon? Will the sketchy Snow Queen and Elsa build a snowman together in next week's episode?
