British pop star Jessie J had a primetime opportunity on Monday night to crack America.
The singer made a stunning impact with her opening performance on ABC's Dancing With The Stars and went on to belt out three songs while promoting her new album Sweet Talker.
But when the 26-year-old singer sat in as guest judge on the dancing competition show she soon proved there was one group of people she was not worried about trying to win over - the contestants.

Jessie found herself loudly booed by the crowd as gave the first dancer of the night, Antonio Sabato Jr dancing Bollywood, a lowly 6 - hiding behind her paddle as the crowd reacted angrily to her score for a dance Carrie Ann Inaba gave an 8.
And for the rest of the night Jessie consistently gave the lowest scores while dishing out harsh commentary, such as telling Jonathan Bennett his jitterbug left her ’nervous’ and ‘uncomfortable’ and pulling a scared face like she was on a terrifying fairground ride.

Even the dance she praised as her favorite of the night, Leah Thompson’s Broadway routine, only got an 8 from the star who was clearly not out to win over the contestants.

She also at times seemed to struggle to find the words for her commentary, such as when she told Tommy Chong: ‘It wasn’t like, “Wooah” but it was like, ‘Yeah!”.’
Host Tom Bergeron was soon teasing Jessie over her harsh scores, telling her: ‘Go with your gut, don’t let this crowd influence you in any way. But have somebody else start your car.’
Her harshness soon appeared to influence the rest of the judges, too, who were also booed for handing out unexpectedly low scores.

Later she appeared again, this time in the red sleeveless dress she wore while judging as she sang Masterpiece with Val and Peta Murgatroyd dancing in front of her.
Despite the sexiness of her own performances, she insisted she blushed with how risqué Janel Parrish and Artem were as they performed a burlesque routine to Jessie’s tune Mama Knows Best.
Janel - wearing a burgundy corset and stockings while Artem gyrated with no shirt on - immediately addressed the sexiness as she finished the dance, saying: ‘My dad is here - Daddy, I’m sorry!’

‘I know you just apologized to your dad, but I don’t think that my mum would ever expect a song that I wrote to have that dance routine,’ Jessie told her with a big smile. ‘I was like, “Woooah!” You really threw yourself into it.’
Janel and Artem were together as all the contestants had new partners for the week, as voted for by viewers - and it soon sent her usual partner Val into clear jealousy.
‘I’m not a jealous dude at all, but I’ve definitely noticed Artem wearing less cloths this week. I thought we were friends, bro,’ Val said, later pretending to strangle Artem after their performance.
